Stearns’ CAO Blythe Hughes Set to Retire in January 2018
Stearns Lending, LLC announces that Chief Administrative Officer Blythe Hughes will retire at the end of January 2018.
Blythe joined Stearns in 2012. She has been the driving force behind enhancements to employee recognition programs, employee benefits, evolution of the company’s culture, and many other milestones over the years.
“I am very proud of what the team at Stearns has accomplished over the last five years. It had been a pleasure to serve as a member of the executive leadership team at Stearns, and a privilege to be a part of this remarkable company’s growth as a mortgage industry powerhouse,” Blythe said. “My family and I are now looking forward to traveling, seeing the world and starting a new chapter in our lives.”
For more than 30 years, Blythe has brought her expertise and a collaborative approach to all aspects of Human Resources and Corporate Administration functions. Prior to joining Stearns, she held senior leadership positions at MetLife Bank, Countrywide Financial, Nortel Networks, EDS and the Life Insurance Company of the Southwest.
“As a key member of the executive leadership team, Blythe has played an instrumental role in overseeing several areas of the company and helping with the company’s growth. She will certainly be missed,” said Stearns CEO David Schneider.
Stearns team members across the enterprise have joined in wishing Blythe and her family all the best. Plenty of accolades and sharing of fond memories go along with these messages.
“I have had the pleasure of knowing Blythe and working with her for more than 15 years,” said Stearns COO James Hecht. “She is an encyclopedia of knowledge of a long list of disciplines, and she is one of those colleagues that make the workplace feel like a second home. While we will miss her laughter, we also all recognize that no one better deserves a wonderful, fulfilling retirement after years as the ‘go to’ expert at Stearns and other organizations.”
